Would parrot feathers suffice? They are more readily available around town, as you know. |

Where do transvestites shop? I'm sure there are places in the city. Maybe research theater or costumes. Have fun! |

Not to sound ludicrous, but they sell ostritch feathers at pet stores for cat toys. I saw some at NJ Pets in East Hanover, and they looked ok. |

Ooops ... it just occurred to me that I was talking about peacock feathers. Sorry. |

Thanks everyone! I placed the order on the internet and am going to call around some places in the city. My boss-lady wants 3 fans for some party and 12 feathers. Anyway, I just spent close to $600 bucks buying the particular fans and feathers she requested, I'll be scrambling around buying whatever I can find if they don't arrive ontime. Thanks again! |

Sports/Fishing stores may sell them as fly-tying material, like Ray's on Rt 22w. Or here online... http://www.iflyshop.com/detail.asp?product_id=1308 |

a2, I was at Smith & Hawkins down in Westfield on Sunday. There's a shop across the street from it and closer to the corner that has many feathery articles, hair ornaments, boas in MANY sizes, and a lot more. There was a sidewalk sale and you had to walk under the stuff to get past the store. |
