Looking into the Kima KS-110 wireless audio system to feed music from upstairs office Mac into downstairs stereo system. Anyone have experience doing this or product recommendations? I'm concerned that the unit may broadcast to neighbors' stereos & radios tuning into 88.3 (WBGO) or 88.1, which the system recommends using. |

Here are a couple of alternatives, although I here the Kima is nice. http://www.turtlebeach.com/site/ http://www.slimp3.com/ also you could, if you have a laptop and wireless setup for instance, attach a RCA Stereo plug to a 1/8" minipatch cord, attach RCA plugs to your AUX input on you stereo, then when you want access to the music on your main Mac (tower), plug laptop with Wireless connection in to the patch cord. Connect to the iTunes library of your main Mac over the network, and away you go. Assumes that you have a laptop, and wireless network of course, but if you do there's no additional cost, accept the cables (Radio Shack) If your main computer (with the music on it) IS a laptop, you can of course use the same patch cable to connect directly. But that is probably already obvious. |
