Mallory - I'm sorry you're in this situation. =-( I don't know how she falls price-wise (she was $150/hr five years ago), but my mother-in-law used Elizabeth Bedell when she got divorced and was quite happy with her. She's on Morris Ave. in Springfield.

Best of luck to you!!

The lawyer I've been using for post-divorce matters with my ex-wife has been great. Her name is Jean Marie Madorran, in Livingston. 973-992-5800. Her firm isn't cheap, but a good lawyer may pay off, if money is at stake.

Good luck, and I hope your life improves. I promise, this is going to be a low point in your life, i.e. it gets better from here.

Tom

I just got divorced this past spring, and I had a tricky case -- an inheritance, custody battle, a very angry evil spouse. I used Jim Yudes in Springfield, and while not cheap, he was absolutely AMAZING. He got me an incredible settlement, custody of my kids, and every single other thing I wanted. He was my knight in shining armor, basically. Jim only works by referral, but I think my referral would count for something. Private line if you're interested. And good luck! Sounds like you're going through what happened to me (spouse basically woke up one day and wanted out). I'm still going through the aftermath, but like Tom Reingold says, it does get better every day.

thanks to all for the info. i seem to have avoided the divorce. spouse is just a little emotionally volatile lately. hoping he will get over it when some of his stressful issues get resolved. i will keep the info though - i might not feel really secure about the marriage for a little while.
