I have learned the hard way today that most (all?) area carwashes are closed today due to the rain. My car is filthy and I really don't care if it gets dry ... I just want it clean! Unfortunately, my next opportunity is probably Friday and there is even more rain in the forecast then. Anyone know of a place that is open? Why can't they still wash cars? ... just dispense with the drying operation ... maybe even give a bit of a discount since that's the most labor intensive part of the job after the vacuuming. |

If you got your car washed while it was raining, wouldn't it get dirty as soon as you drove away? Water and mud does splash up onto the car. |

There are a number of do-it- yourself car wash facilities in the area, but not that close by. There is one in West Caldwell off Bloomfield Ave. in the Pio Costa Commercial complex and another one I know of on South Ave. in Roselle near Cranford. |

There's also a great self-serve and full-serve car wash in Kennilworth by the A&P Supermarket. |
