I think this falls into the category of it's-right-in-front-of-me-but-I-can't-see-it: Where would I find bins for donating used clothing? I have a couple of bagsful and haven't found a bin. There used to be one in the Millburn Library parking lot, but it's gone now. What am I not seeing? (And, yes, I know that there is (or was) one at M'wood recycling, but I never seem to get over there when the place is open.) Thanks |

There used to be some in the Costco lot. Also I remember seeing them behind the Foodtown on Morris Ave in Springfield. |

There are goodwill bins at the Mobil station at the corner of Springfield Ave and Vauxhall Rd. I believe there's also one at the gas station (I forget the name of it), that's on the corner of Springfield and Millburn Ave. |

And -- just like the used books query -- don't forget the Turnover Sale at Morrow Church in Maplwood. they accept donations of clothes, too. |

Forget the bins! If you want to claim a tax deduction over $250 you need a receipt! Call vietnam vets or suburban thrift shop. It is up to you to come with a value for the donation. The thrift shop should have a form to use as a guideline. oots |

The Millburn Red Cross has a bin behind their facility (and they will give you a receipt if you go inside and ask). On Millburn Ave in downtown Millburn... |

Here's what I do--I bring my clothes to the Salvation Army. They have a store right on Springfield Avenue in Irvington, and one can usually find a space right in front of the store (or nearly so). They also give receipts. |
