We're gonna need an extra vehicle--or a bigger one--for vacation later this month. Any rental places to recommend? Or avoid?

I've had luck with Enterprise (on Valley) -- BUT their larger cars go fast (when I called, months in advance). I did have luck, though, reserving one at another location close to Newark Airport. |

I second Enterprise. I have rented there several times, and they have always been great! |

There's also an Enterprise in West Orange . We use Enterprise or Dollar (in Morristown on ridgedale Ave), whenever we need a car/minivan - for an RV type van (the word is at the tip of my fingers, but can't think of it) - we have used Adventures on wheels, down in Middletown, NJ... a ha! - CONVERSION VAN! |

Enterprise has served us well in two emergencies. They open early in the morning and you can return a car after hours by parking the car in their lot and putting the keys in the mail slot of a garage next door. |
