Does anyone know of a competent attorney who could draft a standard will, at a reasonable fee? Please let me know. Thanks. |

I used an online service called LegalZoom for about $50. You can have it in 48 hours or even sooner (mine arrived via email the next day, you can also have it Fedexed) and they offer some support if you have questions, (unlike the plain "will forms" you find online for $19.95). I was very pleased with the thoroughness and the speed of the process. |

You can also use software like Quicken Lawyer to draw up the will, and then just have a lawyer review it for you. That might save you a few bucks, especially if you have a spouse or other family members who also want to write their wills, and/or if you want to write up a Living Will. The more documents you create, the more you save over having a lawyer draft them all for you. |

Quicken Lawyer is great! Unless you will is really complicated or involves significant cash/inverstments/jewelry/chhild custody issues...you don't need an attorney at all. You can just get it notarized and that's it. |
