I'm new to the area and found a new ob/gyn. I'm also new to impending motherhood. Too much "new" for me. My new ob/gyn gave me 4 different sample packs of pre-natal vitamins and she told me to try out each one since each could have different side effects. Side effects? Any women out there suggest a prenatal that has minimal side effects? Thanks! |

Tammy Hamilton. It sounds like it's our bodies that just have to decide which they like? |

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am taking Nestabs and am having absolutely no problem with them. Everyone is different though and, if you have morning sickness or serious nausea, the vitamins can really set you off. Try taking whichever one you choose in the evening and you are likely to have better results. Good luck! |

You could go to the health food store and pick up one of the name brand natural prenatals in slow release tablet form--Twinlabs, Schiff, etc. They don't have all the junk--dyes, etc that the pharmacological ones do. Though, if your taking a lot of iron, you may need something to soften things up. Sufficient folic acid is very important. And don't forget, what you eat or don't eat is also important. Especially, stay away from all tuna, swordfish, tilefish, shark, crabs and all freshwater fish. They all have advisories because of mercury content. Ask your doctor about other possible prenatal concerns. |

If you take the vitamins at night after dinner you won't feel a thing. Or taste them for that matter. |

lebl1166, Hope this works. Here is the url for a previous thread regarding a speech therapist. Jennifer Gardner was wonderful. Good luck! /discus/messages/3135/15936.html?1048309396 |
