A colleague finds herself with some immediate time off. She'd like to spend a week or two where the weather is nice. She's not big on vacationing alone.

She thought perhaps a destination with an activity, like an adult tennis camp, would be a good way to meet people in a low-pressure setting. She is most definitely NOT into a singles scene.

I figure if anyone can come up with an idea, it will be one of you!

Any thoughts?

Phil-
Moderate. We've narrowed it down to somewhere with a beach, tennis and spa. She's got some frequent flier miles, so the ticket would probably be free.

Viva- Very cool site!

Some ideas:

Dominican Republic - cheaper but far
Bermuda - expensive but close
Kiawah Island, SC - moderately expensive - beautiful http://recreation.kiawahresort.com/
Key West - cheaper, more busy

Best idea: ask Patty at Maplewood Travel!

We went to Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa right off Sanibel Island in Fort Myers, Fla. over Easter. The tennis (clay court) and spa facilities are top-notch and the beach has some amazing shells.
