Donating computer hardware

Author Message   blackcat Citizen Username: Blackcat Post Number: 95 Registered: 6-2001 Posted on Thursday, June 5, 2003 - 11:50 am:        I have a Samsung Syncmaster 17in monitor and APTIVA P350 desktop that I no longer need(just bought new laptop) I'd like to donate it to a school in the area or a worthy cause. Has anyone had experiences with donating computers or in general? How do I determine what it's worth for tax purposes? Am I better off financially trying to sell it? thanks for the help
