We are moving to Maplewood the first week in August; I have a 2 1/2 yr old son and we'd love to get together and play or join a playgroup of children around that age if you do hear of anything! :-)

If you haven't already, check out Mothers and More (www.maplesoorangemothers.org). There are many different playgroups and activities for kids and moms.

What about kids & dads?

Not that I wouldn't join a mom & kid play group, but are there any groups around here for stay at home dads with young kids?

Is it too late to join the pool?

The Newcomers Club has playgroups too. Even though we technically close for July and August many of the activities continue through. I'll be happy to email you our June newsletter. Let me know if you'd like it (click on my name at the left and make sure you include your email address in the message).

Best of luck,

We joined the pool today - it's not too late. Go to the Rec Dept (near the playpark and basketball courts in Memorial Park) during business hours. It takes about 3 days to process.

Not free but great!
