The trees were swaying, the branches were falling. How did you all fare after the severe wind storm yesterday? We had considerable debris and some sizable branches come down, but fortunately nothing more. We haven't done a full physical check around the house yet, but hopefully nothing worse than a major cleanup. |

Seems that there was something on the order of a mini-tornado through Mapleberry...heard all sorts of stories from PSEG, fast reliable Barry Cohen of Barnett Electric (recommended here on MOL), and just plain folk. I had a tree and a power line down meself. |

Just for the record, that big mother tree limb in the street in front of my cave is from a TOWN tree. I did NOT levitate it and move it from offa my back patio and into the road just to avoid chopping it up myself. I coulda, but I DIDN'T. OK??? Now, let's not hear any more about it... --The Oracle of MOL |

Tree fell on my block two houses down from mine...the power lines stopped it from hitting the home in its path. Pretty amazing site.

Most impressive thing was the river (stream, whatever) running thru town. It overflowed at the golf course and was running up as high as the curved wooden bridges moving at an exceptional rate of speed. Scary! Upstream the water was to the top of the new walls. |

I saw a damp family of red-tailed squirrels taking refuge on the high ground atop Mt. DeLuca. |

We saw a family of squirrels actually abandon a tree that had already lost a large (20 foot plus) branch and seemed likely to be uprooted. I kid you not! On Saturday night even the ducks were walking. |
