A friend of mine took me to a beautiful park in Fairlawn recently where we went rollerblading. The park was closed to car traffic, had nice smooth pavement and had an amazingly beautiful forest-like setting. Is there anything closer? I heard that the reservation is less than ideal for rollerblading. |

This sounds wonderful! Could you tell me the name of the park? I have yet to find anything around here so your help would be appreciated. If I hear of anything around here, I'll post another response. |

Saddle River park. Take the GSP to RT 80 east. Take the first exit Saddle river (you don't even get on 80). Just past the stop sign the park is on the left. it goes from there all the way to Ridgewood (10 Miles maybe?). on weekends there are Ice cream trucks allong the way. Great for rollerblading, bikes, dogs |
