Can anyone recommend a good dentist in the Millburn/Maplewood area? (For adult, not child) I'm looking for someone for routine cleanings, etc. Thanks in advance - amk

My husband and I and our children use Dr. Kevin Muench on Maplewood Ave in downtown Maplewood. He is an excellent and very thorough dentist, not to mention just a decent guy. His office staff are all very nice and helpful, too. 973-763-2221.

I heartily recommend Dr. Justin Fried of Maplewood Family Dental. He's young, with a relatively new practice and he's unbelievably knowledgable. He's also gone way beyond the call of duty for my family recently with a dental emergency, and I know that's the sort of thing he does all the time. He's the first dentist I've had that I really liked. Maplewood Family Dental is located at the corner of Valley and Millburn Ave and his phone number is 973-763-0808. He really inspires confidence.

Another vote for Justin Fried. He's wonderful, knowledgable as new2so says, and really good at considering and explaining options.

I really like Berkeley Nichols on Prospect Ave at Tuscan. My family's dental needs are pretty minimal, but he's a heck of a nice guy, goes all the work himself and doesn't push a bunch of optional procedures. He's recommended cheaper over-the-counter solutions rather than professional work.

Michael Messing in Millburn on Essex Street. He's great. I'm a very nervous dental patient. If it's more than a cleaning, he lets me listen to tunes while on NO (Nitrous Oxide). It's the best and only way for me.

Thanks to all for the helpful suggestions! I was able to get an appointment with Justin Fried, who is on my plan. Thanks again - amk
