I'd like to check out A taste of South Orange today, but haven't a clue where Spiotta Park is.

I believe it is that tiny piece of grass next to the Town Hall Deli (at least that's where the Taste was last year)

From 5 to 8 pm this afternoon. Check out the farmers market as well, (under the train trestle!)

I was disappointed by A Taste of South Orange. Stopped by and found only a few stands, with mostly small "samples" - some were free while others asked for cash. Nice to have live music, though. There are more than a handful of restaurants in SOrange. Couldn't we have something at the foot of Floods Hill with live music at the usual bandstand area there? People could then get to know local restaurants, picnic with the food they purchase and listen to music.

Also, if the event were held on a weekend, I'm sure they'd get much greater turnout; I've been wanting to go for three summers in a row now, but since I don't get home until 7:30/8:00 on work days I haven't yet been able to make it.

I doubt the resaurants want to participate on a weekend. That is prime time.

I didn't go yesterday because of the rain -- and guess the same goes for restaurants.

Went last year a couple times -- good music, good crowds, lots of choices of food...
