I need someone to take a few good digital photos of an old portrait (it's about 30" tall).

I've tried myself but they come out terribly - it's a pretty dark picture with a shiny surface.

Anyone like to do this for a reasonable hourly rate or any recommendations?

Please click on the blue "Phil" at left to respond or reply with contact info.

Thanks,
Phil

If it's not difficult to transport, the best thing is to bring it to a studio, where they can bounce the lighting.

Phil, Bring the picture over. I will set the strobes up and shoot it for you. I have done this for Christies for 25 years. I'll charge you 25.00
