Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to find a babysitter? I've tried asking a few of our new neighbors, but no one seems to know of anyone. We'd like to find a local teen for occassional nights out and maybe a college student from Seton Hall for a morning or two a week in the fall. Is there a good place to put up signs for this? Any other suggestions as to how to find someone?

Sorry for the typo. Obviously I meant "babysitters."

I've had success in posting signs at Columbia High School - go to the guidance office and make sure to bring a couple of cute signs with those pull off tabs. I've also had some (but not huge) success with posting signs at Seaton Hall. But I think I would have had more success if I had posted in the right place. The few students who actually responded to the signs said that I would have had more success if I had posted them in the Caffeteria.

Good Luck

How old are your kids? Are you speaking of weeknights or weekend nights?

MOL seems to be a good place to start.

I've seen ads for Larissa and Mariah here on MOL. My daughters, Maddy, age 14, and Julia, age 11, are also available.

Larissa is at 973-761-6804, and I'm sure it's OK for me to post her number here, since she has before.

Mariah is Ed May's daughter. You can't miss Ed May on MOL, and I'm sure you can look him up on http://www.anywho.com

Our number is 973-378-8859.

Thanks so much Alison and Tom for the suggestions. One of our neighbors came through with a name for a babysitter. We're going to try her out this weekend. And I'll try the cafeteria at Seton Hall in the fall for a daytime babysitter.

I was successful putting my posting up in the Nursing School at Seton Hall.
