Anyone have any experience with these? Consumer reports gave them a very good rating and I'm considering buying one, but it'd be nice to hear any first-hand experience.... Thanks. |

No first hand experience, but my friend swore by them a while back, overseas. Have lost touch with them since then, but I still remember the vote of confidence |

I've got one--the GWL-11. Been using it non-stop for about 6 months now and it is great! It is easy to use, quiet, very energy efficient, top loading, large capacity, and one third the cost of a kenmore elite. It has a two year warranty and can be warranty serviced by numerous nearby repair outfits. The company has been around for something like fifty years in New Zealand and has a headquarters in California. I researched washing machines for a month before buying this one. I even talked to the U.S. Energy Star lab that tests machines for energy efficiency. The Fisher and Paykel machine will pay for itself in about 3 years in energy savings alone. The Kenmore would take about 10 years to pay off. The thing is, even if a Kenmore can last for 20 years, they will be making much better machines in 3. So why spend the money on the super expensive Kenmores? We bought ours at Karls in Fairfield for $550 delivered. |
