Me too, but I'm one of those weird lefties who does a lot of things righty, like use the mouse (helped in my former career, I could draw with my left and click with the right) and in sports. My husband is a true lefty, but none of our kids are.
The most creative people are lefties IMO. |

My husband is lefty for gross-motor activities, inclduing most sports, and righty for fine-motor activities. Except he is right-footed for most foot activities, like kicking a ball, which I suppose would be considered a gross-motor skill. Go figure. |

Most of my motor activities can be considered Gross.
Actually I write lefty, throw a baseball lefty and bat lefty. I can throw a football with both hands, I bowl righty and swing a hockey stick lefty.
My son is righty and so is my daughter, though she swings a baseball batlefty. I also have a 1 year old so I can't wait to see if she is lefty. Maybe I should tie her right hand behind her back. |

He played back in the days of the single wing and with no faceguards..forward passing wasnt all the rage yet.
Oh and my wife is left-handed as well...one of the (many) reasons I married her (left-handed gene pooling). Of course though my kids are ridiculously right-handed. |

I had heard that lefties have statistically shorter lifespans than righties. Any truth to that?

a theory was that because alot of machines and mechanical devices are geared towards righties, lefties are more prone to accidents, and therefor, untimely deaths, but I believe the theory was disproved. |
