This may be a strange request, but does anyone know if ANY of the Reform Temples in the area do NOT use Organ music (particularly on the High Holidays)?

We have tried Sharey Tefilo Israel in SO and are somewhat happy that during the year they only have Organ music once per month. However, on the High Holidays, all services have organ music (and having grown up Conservative, I find this very uncomfortable).

Does anyone know anything about other Reform Temples in the area?

Thanks!

Have you considered going to a conservative synogogue for High Holy Day Services? There are several in the immediate area.

Oheb Shalom in South Orange is a conservative synagogue which happens to have organ music on the high holidays, so you can cross it off your list as an alternative.

Beth El in South Orange is a conservative synagogue that does not have organ music at Sabbath or High Holiday services.

Although I grew up Conservative, I can't bear the 5 hour marathon of services that comes with it. I do enjoy the shorter & more understandable Reform services more, but I just can't stand the organ.

So, I was hoping to find a contemporary Reform Temple that didn't have Organ music somewhere in the area. Livingston? Cedar Grove? West Orange?

I suppose I can call around, but I thought someone here might know.

I don't know of any Reform congregations in the area that don't include organ music in their services, especialy over the High Holy Days. This is why I suggested a Conservative service.

If you want a short service, how about something like the Intergenerational Service (Rosh Hashana) and the Meditation Service (Yom Kippur) at TSTI? Both services are low key and I don't think either usually includes organ music.
