Can anyone recommend an eye doctor for Lasik surgery? Also, what is the typical cost for the procedure? Since these are the only eyes I have, I am not looking to cut corners or costs here, and am willing to pay what it takes to make sure it gets done safely and properly. Thanks |

whoever you use, make sure you use someone who does the procedure often, and preferably has all equipment for all pre-op measurements in their offices. I used someone who did NOT and it was a problem.
I had an intelligent and thorough friend who did a tremendous amount of research before having hers. Believe it or not, she used and highly recommends Joseph Dello Russo (in Hackensack or somehwere nearby, and in NYC). despite all his cheesy advertising, my friend chose him and was very satisfied. doing a google search, I see there are several lawsuits against him, so maybe there are problems, I don't know. my recommendation generally is use someone who does this a LOT.
cost is approx $2k-2500 per eye. if you can avail yourself of a flexible spending account, this expense does fall within allowable expenses, enabling you to use tax-free dollars.
good luck. despite some initial problems, I am happy every single day I had it done. |

FWIW, Four people in my office have done extensive research on this topic and they all went to Delloruso in Bergenfield.
They are all very satisfied with the result. |
