Just discovered our first mouse in our cupboards. Correction -- we saw EVIDENCE of a recent mouse presence -- nibbles from several packages. So it's either a mouse or a very small, highly agile Emeril Lagasse.

Anyway, after reading the "Eek a mouse" post on the "fix-it" board, I'll remedy the issue and correct our food storage practices. w/r/t to getting rid of the mouse, I particularly like the beer can/coat hanger/peanut butter idea.

Anyway, here's what the mouse enjoyed while dining @ our place:

- chocolate chips
- peanut butter cups
- confectioners sugar
- brown sugar (light & dark varieties)
- M&Ms
- barley flour
- Ramen noodles
- trail mix
- sliced almonds
- ginger snaps
- pasta
- sesame seeds
- rye crackers
- dried apricots
- dried dill

What's on your mouse's menu?

That's more food than we have in the cupboard!

A chipmunk ran in my house last weekend and I chased him out!

We just started setting those groovy binder-clip type traps and have caught three mice so far, but not before they ate through a bag of coffee beans and some really salty chili-lime tortilla chips. They had no use for uncooked pasta. They must have been very hyper and very thirsty before their little necks got snapped.
