Can anyone recommend a competent and trustworthy computer repair person who can diagnose/fix both hardware and software problems? My laptop freezes up all the time and none of the tech support people at the company that made the computer can figure out what the problem is. I can't be without the computer for very long, so a speedy person would be desirable, too. A free diagnosis/estimate is preferred, but would pay a reasonable fee for a disgnosis/estimate if the person came highly recommended and was able to spot and hopefully fix the problem fast.

Thanks,

How old is the laptop?
What OS are you running?
When does it freeze? during boot sequence, online etc?
Any recent software installs/uninstalls?

I may be able to help you solve this. Private line me if you want to discuss further.

Are you nearing max on your use of RAM when this problem occurs?

If P/C: Have you run scandisk, defrag, or other diagnostic programs to determine if the problem can be identified and hopefully repaired that way?

Is there the possibility of your computer being infected with a Virus?

mb3303,

I work on systems for a living. If you would like me to take a look at it email me. I can't make any promises on laptop particularly if it is a hardware issue, but we can atleast give you a good diagnosis. davidmiranda1@aol.com
