Hi! I am looking for a printer for my classroom. I have a computer that runs a grading program for my students but it came with windows 95. I can't seem to find a printer that runs on windows95. They seem to run on windows98. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ats3, sounds like you need a slightly older printer that someone is replacing. Try posting in the classified section as well as this one. If you do find one try to get the software (drivers) as well, altho many are available for free download on the web at the manufacturer's sites. Good luck.

ATS3,
It sounds like Windows 95 just doesnt have the driver pre-loaded. Its pretty common for win95 since the driver database that came with WIN95 is for the most part obsolete. All you need to do is locate the driver disk or goto the manufacterers website to download it. I would hate to see you waste money on another printer if you already have one that works. If you need more help, private line me I and I will walk you through it. I am sure I can help you get it working.

ats3, I have an Epson 700 that runs with Windows 95. I just purchased an Epson 825 so I don't use it anymore. You can have it for free if you want it. The only problem is that I think it is being phased out because ink cartridges are hard to find. I know Office Max on Rt. 10 has a few. My suggestion is that if you take it, buy all the catridges you can find. Private line me if you are interested.

Thank you all for your quick responses. I probably should have done this earlier--the summer just flew by.
