'Checked the archives from the summer, wondering if anyone else wants to weigh in on the subject. It's now between Sprint & Verizon (have tried almost everything else, and they all stink).. Any thoughts? Riding the train to NYC is NOT an issue. Thanks to all! |

I believe all companies will let you return a phone within two weeks of getting it. This is to ensure that the coverage is adequate in the places that are important to you. In my unscientific observations, I notice more people are satisfied with Verizon than with any other company. Take that for what it's worth. I use T-Mobile, which covers all of Maplewood except for my home. Harrumph. Their customer service is good, though, and their family calling plan happens to be excellent for us. We have four phones: one for me, one for my wife, one for each of our daughters. We can call each other and any other T-Mobile customer for free for any length of call. No limits. Tom Reingold

I've got the same issue with T-Mobile, Tom. Service everywhere in Maplewood - including inside Kings - but not at home. |

Do not choose Sprint. I had it when I moved to Maplewood and couldn't get a signal. I was never happy with the Sprint coverage, though, wherever I was (often had problems in Manhattan and other major US cities). I now have Verizon and have great coverage in Maplewood, as well as everywhere else. Most of the people I talk to agree that Verizon has the best network. |

I just got a note from TMobile that there are improving service in Maplewood, Newark and some other towns so hopefully service will improve on the east side of town. |

I got that notice today, too. I don't see a difference with my T-Mobile service yet. I also have to go outside and down the block a bit to get service. Tom Reingold
