I was lazy/stupid last night and washed a maroon tablecloth with some beige sheets. I used all cold settings, thinking I wouldn't have a problem, but the dye from the tablecloth still ran and now my sheets are pink. I've run them through the washer again a couple of times with bleach, clorox II and detergent, but they are still pink. Yikes! Any suggestions on how to get the pink out? Thanks |

Rit Dye makes a color remover that's supposed to work on dye-transfer stains. As I recall, it works best on 100% cotton and it stinks, but it might be worth a try. |

Soak the sheets in a very strong Oxyclean solution for several days. I once soaked a broken ink pen out of a shirt - it took a week. |

well, it won't save THESE sheets, but in the future, use either Woolite Dye Magnets or Shout Color Catchers. They're sheets that go in the laundry with your wash and "catch" the running dyes. We started using these 2 or 3 years ago, and haven't had any color "accidents" since. Cheap insurance. |
