If anyone witnessed this happen, in front of 308 Academy, and can help with a description of the car, we can use all the clues we can get...please email me at samantha@tickledpinkdolls.com.

What kind of moron goes down Academy Street at 50mph, hits an animal in plain sight and doesn't even stop? What is wrong with people....I am so angry. My father stepped into his front yard this morning to let the little old girl do her morning wizz and she got loose from him...this person driving, according to neighbors and passersby who witnessed it, had to know they'd hit something by the sound, and they kept on going. Late for work were you? I hope you read this and I hope you ROT of a guilty conscience for the rest of your life. The neighbors have ID'd your car...we'll be catching up with you soon, buddy.

Sammy:

How dreadful. You don't mention in your post how badly the dog was injured. If the dog is still alive, I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery. If she is dead, please accept my deepest condolences. Either way, I really hope you track down the driver who did this.

Thank you, Joan. Unfortunately, Maggie passed away. My father is devastated. She's been our family pup for almost 13 years. I hope whoever did this suffers just like we are...shame on them for not having the decency to stop when they knew what they'd done.

Thanks so much for the well wishes...

As I posted in ther Soapbox, it is against the law to drive away after hitting a domesticated animal. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for Maggie and I can only hope that they nail the ba****rd who did this quickly.
