Last Friday I had to dial 911 because my 14 month old son cut his forehead when he fell in my home. The dispatch person stayed on the phone with me (and I was a wreck) until the ambulance (fire/rescue crew) and the police officer arrived. Even after they arrived I was still a wreck but they brought with them this amazing aura of calm. For that, I cannot thank them enough. By the time we got into the ambulance, my son was no longer bleeding and no longer crying (I might have even stopped crying by this point). I was so grateful for their help and I just wanted you all to know how wonderful they were. My son, many stitches later, is doing great too. |

MCC, Three years ago our grandchild fell and split his head open in our back yard. My wife went bonkers; I had her call 911 and carried him out to the curb. Within a couple of minutes we experienced the same calm and professionalism from the rescue squad and police officers that came to are aide. Thanks for sharing your story. It's really nice to hear some things don't change...
