Does anyone know where there is a good Catholic Folk Mass around? Doesn't have to be all guitar and stuff, but something where they sing Post-Vatican II music? |

You might like Immaculate Heart of Mary. There aren't any folk masses, but it's a very friendly church and we have all kinds of people in the parish. Sometimes our pastor Father Frank plays the guitar and sings for us - he has a very nice voice that is well-suited to folk songs. But he hasn't done it in a while. IHM has a homey, welcoming feel that I have always found appealing. Masses rotate between three priests, only one of whom actually "belongs" to our parish (Father Frank). The three are very different from each other, so you'd be wise to go to the same mass three weeks in a row to get a good feel for the church. You'd also likely hear either the choir or the children's choir in that interval; they rotate singing between the four weekend masses (Sat 5, Sun 8, 10:15, 12). |

Great. We'll check it out. We've been going to Sorrows since we moved here and though the music is beautiful, every once in awhile, I need a different sound. Thanks. |
