Can anyone recommend a pediatric urologist that they have had good results with. A regular urologist is okay to if he is really good. Thanks. |

I have heard that Dr. Hanna (sp?) is good. My niece had a very serious condition a few years ago, and her parents were pleased with him. He worked at Barnabas at the time. Good luck. |

Hanna is great, sees my children. Very smart and explains things in terms I understand. |

We were very pleased with John Siegal in Millburn. Our wait was a bit long, but we were there on an emergency. He was very thorough in the exam and explanation. His office is in the group of buildings at the corner of Millburn and Wyoming Avenues. |

Thanks for the suggestions, but I tried Dr. Hanna already. I found him to be abrupt. When I got there we were in the waiting room fo 45 minutes before he even saw us. There were so many people in the waiting room that people were standing out in the hall. When we did see him, he was abrupt, not very warm to my daughter and didn't explain anything thoroughly. He prescribed meds for my daughter and hardly explained what they were for. I had to look it up on the Internet. I was willing to give him another try (everyone has a bad day) however, I just got a letter from his office saying they no longer accept my insurance. (BC/BS) I might give Dr. Siegal a call. Any other suggestions would be welcomed too. Thanks. |

Wow.... too bad about Hanna. I guess fame and fortune didn't agree with him. An overcrowded waiting room AND abruptness is unacceptable. Makes you wonder why some of these doctors chose their professions. |

Try Dr. Kenneth Ring in West Orange. I don't have the number off-hand, but he is part of BC/BS (that's what we have.) He does both adult and pediatric. We found him to be nice, re-assuring, knowledgeable. He took his time with us and explained everything. I don't think Siegal is part of BC/BS b/c he is who we first looked into. |

Dr. Kathleen Murphy has offices in Westfield, Summit & Rahway. A few years ago, she saw my daughter for an ongoing urology problem and was always warm, gentle, and spoke directly to her - at age 3-4. She explained everything clearly, offered a chance to look in the microscope & to handle instruments, and made sure we saw her before she gowned up for procedures. She also sees adults. We all liked her a lot. She took Horizon BC/BS. phone: 908-232-8416 website: http://www.urologychannel.com/kathleenmurphy/index.shtml good luck! knak |

Just an FYI. Dr. Siegal now has a partner. His name is Dr. Akins. Took his time with us and was very thorough and had a great bedside manner with my daughter. Highly recommend. Thanks everyone. |
