I can get directions off the website that suggest taking the 1 or 2 subway to Chambers Street, then I have walking directions. 2 questions: is this the best way, and how long will it take me from Penn Station? also, is there a particular entrance to use? I am headed to Judge Batts' courtroom. Thanks! |

About 10 minutes on the subway (at most) and then about a ten minute walk. There is only one entrance of which I am aware. That entrance is located on, I think, Pearl Street. Walk up Centre Street and go between 40 Centre Street (the old Federal Courthouse) and 60 Centre Street (New York State Supreme Court) -- I think that is Pearl Street but I don't recall seeing a sign. |

The IND Chambers Street station (A or C subway train) is a block closer than the IRT Chambers Street Station (2 or 3). Exit the subway at the corner of Chambers Street and Church Street and walk two blocks to Chambers Street. Then follow bandw's directions. Depending on the time of day, it should take about 20-25 minutes from the time you enter the subway train until you arrive at your destination. |
