My wife and I saw "Anton in Show Business" at the Dreamcatcher Repertory Theater last Saturday and it was wonderful. Dreamcatcher Repertory is now located in the Baird Center and South Orange has a winner. "Anton" is playing through October 19 and we've been recommending it to everyone. The actors were incredible and they had an excellent play to work with. Congragulations! |

I haven't seen "Anton" yet but I plan to. I agree that having Dreamcatcher at the Baird is a coup. So why, do you suppose, has the Village been unable, in the last three months during which it was promised to be completed, to change the automated greeting on the Baird phone line menu to include Dreamcatcher Theater as a choice? When people call Baird to reach Dreamcatcher, and don't even hear Dreamcatcher on the menu, it is very off-putting, and certainly must affect (lower) sales. I guess when a town of only 16,000 has a Business Administrator, who is also the CFO, and also the Treasurer, and also the Acting Exec Director of the SOPAC, things don't get done in as timely a fashion as should be the case (three months and counting to change an automated greeting is pretty pitiful performance). Let's not have the Dreamcatcher walk out of town because once again the B.A. dropped the ball because of his far too many responsibilities(while also negotiating for Supermarkets, Beifus, PILOTS, etc.) Whew, I get exhausted each and every time I list John Gross' many duties. I'd love to get just as exhausted touting his praises, but, alas, his performance, in all things South Orange is pretty dismal. Let's not let Dreamcatcher be the latest fatality of having too few people do what needs to be done. |

When I called the Baird for tickets last week, there was a prompt to leave a voice mail message for Dreamcatcher. I received a call back the next day. I'm sure you'll enjoy "Anton". I look forward to the future performances of Dreamcatcher. |

doublea: Thanks for the update. When I called Baird last week, there was no such prompt. In a subsequent discussion with Dreamcatcher folk, I was told that they had been trying for three months to get the Village to add their name to the automatic voice menu. I guess their nagging finally worked (though one would think that such an item wouldn't require a three-month wait). |

Washashore, it only took Doublea less than 20 minutes to show that your whole post was just BS posted in order to continue your diatribe against the Village admin and JG in particular. You should be ashamed of yourself. |

Guesswho: Call Dreamcatcher, and ask them how long they waited to get their name on the voice menu before you call others names. |
