Can anyone recommend an occupational therapist, pediatric speech pathologist and/or developmental pediatrician/psychologist who has experience in diagnosing and treating sensory integrative dysfunction in infants (< 1 yr old)? Thanks.

My pediatrician, Jennifer Shaw, specializes in developmental issues. Her practice is called Touchpoint Pediatrics. Their number is 973.665-0900.

How about contacting the Early Intervention folks? Do you know about that program and the services offered for free to qualifying little ones by the State (I think). Anyway, every NJ county has an office...the one for Essex County can be reached at 973-857-4663 (160 Fairview Avenue, Rawson Hall, Building #37, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009, Unit Coordinator: Linda Slaughter). They will either do the appropriate evaluations in your home or schedule them at a nearby facility. Just remember that not all evaluating therapists or case managers assigned to you are created equal, so it's important to be a vocal advocate on behalf of your baby. GOOD LUCK!
