Does anyone know if the YMCA, Red Cross or anyone else in our area offers a class on CPR?

I took both the adult CPR and infant/child CPR at the Lactation Resource Center (800-801-MILK) in Chatam. Each class was $50.

I took child CPR several years ago at St. Barnabas. The class was offered on a continual basis and also included safety tips.

The Red Cross is offering one in February (can't remember exact date) funded by the Danielle Brender Fund, which was set up after the sudden cardiac death of 11-year-old Danielle about three years ago. The training will also include instruction on use of automatic external debfibrillators (AEDs). It is going to take place at the Can Do health club on Morris Tpke in Short Hills. You can call the Millburn chapter of the Red Cross to sign up.
