I set my TiVo to record West Wing and Law and Order so I could play Volleyball. When I got home, there were two episodes of Law and Order--Criminal Intent and the good old original version. Was West Wing delayed for some reason.
Help!!!!

They may have pre-empted rather than go up against the NLCS.

West wing was not on last night because they figured everyone would be watching the cubs game. I wonder if they will do the same next week due to the Series. Certainly the Marlins win last night will make for much low ratings than if the Cubs had won. It will just be New Yorkers (whereever they may live) and whatever fans the Marlins have. (Curse number one fullfilled, curse number two coming up tonight)

the Chicago market was killing NBC's ratings during the NLCS. I don't know what the numbers were, but I know when the Bears were good, ABC routinely got 65 shares in Chicago when they were on MNF. I can only imagine what last night's local market ratings were.

the folks at NBC have already breathed a sigh of relief with the Cubs' demise.

Re: West Wing pre-emption - I think thats pretty rude of NBC! I would have watched WW instead of the game. They didn't even post a message (that I saw) saying it would be pre-empted.

It's a conspiracy! Wed. night's episode ran too close to the truth so the NSA pulled it!

Hey, does anyone have a tape of last week's episode (October 8) of WW that I could borow? I was out of town, and my husband forgot to tape it for me. Actually, he claimed that there was no new episode while I was gone, but my coworker assures me he is lying -- er, I mean mistaken. Apparently it's the one where Abby gets angry at Leo, if that rings any bells for you . . .

Mas--
I play on a Gay/Lesbian league in Manhattan called Gotham Volleyball League. There are many people in town that play on that league. It was because of these people that I found out how delightful Maplewood is. The gotham website is www.gothamvolleyball.org If you have any questions, feel free to privateline me.
