Is there a costume rental shop anywhere nearby? My kid is dying for me to dress up this year for Halloween and I've searched the web in vain for the right costume -- plus I'm trying to avoid shipping costs, fitting issues, etc. I just would like to see the costumes.

I think that I saw a costume rental place on Main St in Millburn the other day. It was on the opposite side of the road that Taylor Park is on.

I don't know anything about the place, so you might have to take a ride to look for it.

I get this under costumes (on Yahoo) and if you look for other similar store in the area I see one in Westfield.

Try Party City on Rt 22. They have a large selection of reasonably priced adult costumes. Rentals can run a lot of money, plus a large deposit. Most of the costumes at party City are about $30.00.

We are buying a handtruck to help with scavenger day, we have about two tons of stuff. I plan to use it on Halloween as part of my Hanibal Lechter costume. I will be out looking through the piles this evening in hopes of finding a goalie mask. :-)

If you want to be completely disguised, rent a gorilla costume. I threw a huge Halloween party once and rented one without telling anyone. I would sneak upstairs and put the costume on periodically throughout the night and harrass all the guests to the point where they were ready to throw me out. They were so surprised when I unmasked, especially my sister who was furious with "this gorilla who kept slapping the moves" on her. I rented the costumer from somewhere in Union.

If you get to the city, go to Abracadabra, absolutely the best costume/Halloween place in the world (scientific study). It's on 21st Street between 5th and 6th.
