Something seems to have happened on Valley this evening - between Oakview and the Crescents - the street has been blocked off for about 2 hours.

I detoured around it, so I didn't see what happened, but I am hoping it wasn't another bad accident on that stretch of Valley.

Does anyone know what happened? And I hope it was a downed wire or something like that.

When I crossed Valley at Oakview at about 3:45 PM this afternoon I saw police cars, a fire truck, and lots of caution tape but no evidence of a traffic accident. I assume it was a downed power line.

I really hope so - given the time of day, I was worried about kids going home from school.

I would have assumed flooding - when it rains heavily, that area often has to be closed off.
