Having some noise issues under the hood of my Honda Civic. Dealer repairs can be costly. Any recommedations for local foreign car mechanic who is both reliable and reasonable??? |

Garden State Gulf on the corner of Valley and Millburn. Ira and Nick are honest and very good mechanics. A breath of fresh air. I recently made the mistake of taking my Passat to the dealer (DCH) next door and BOY WAS I SORRY !!!!. |

I have had really good luck with Madison Honda in Madison. Also, Palumbos(Exxon gas station) on Main Street in Millburn are good too.

I have also been happy with Madison Honda. In fact, I was there today and they got me in and out in less time than quoted and everything was done correctly. |

It's further away, but Tony's Honda on Rt. 22 in Scotch Plains is a real find. He only services Hondas. It would be hard to find a better, honest mechanic. |

We take our Civic to Ridge Tire on South Orange Ave. They are honest and the customer service is really great. |

Tony's Honda, whom tourne recommends, is unsurpassed. He really knows Hondas as well as any dealer. I really prefer independents like him. His number is 908-322-7403.

Another vote for Ridge Tire, who keeps my '92 Civic humming along (despite my best efforts to reduce her to rubble). They call you right away wih an estimate, a clear explanation of the problem, and a timeframe; they've always been on budget and EARLY. |

Vinnie at Meineke on Springfield Ave has taken care of our '94 Civic since we moved here. He has gone out of his way to ensure we have been happy. (He even picks up and drops off the car at the train station at no extra charge every time we "bring it in".) |
