I opened an additional AT&T Free2go line while waiting for my current Family Share account to expire in January. Service is pretty good and coverage/reception is the same as AT&T regular TDMA. You can get a $99 Nokia phone from the AT&T store or @ Target. Or you can fish for a brand new one on EBay like I did for $50. You can also get re-up cards cheaper on EBay as well. I am talking Free2go and not the AT&T "GO" phones. Also roaming charges are monstrous if you select the local plan when you activate the phone.

How much does AT&T free2go cost, by the minute? How quickly do you have to use up each allotment before it disappears? Tom Reingold There is nothing

http://www.attwireless.com/personal/prepaid/epw_plans.jhtml Att mins expire in 45 days and do roll over once you re-up. I usually get a $25 re-up card (pin #) on E-bay for $20 http://www.verizonwireless.com/ics/plsql/prepay.intro Interesting, it appears you can keep your cell phone # when switching service providers come Nov 24th. I hope Att decideds to offer some type of incentative to keep older customers from migrating by the time my Shared Family contract expires. http://www.attwireless.com/lnp/index.jhtml
