To be purrfffectly honest...I luv, luv my family, but don't feel like moving a muscle outside of my own kitchen this Turkey Day. (They live outta state) Within my own home, mind you, I want to roast a couple of turkeys, with lotsa stuffing, mashed potatoess, yams, yummy side dishes, desserts, football on the TV, etc.... Anybody else game????

Go for it! Everyone else created their Thanksgiving traditions for you to follow. So now it's your turn, no offense thank you very much, over your own little turf fire. If only to restore your juices a bit for one year. Or something. Head toward the reservation this morning and check out the turkeys! |

After much thought and meditation, here's my new Thanksgiving tradition. Dinner will be steaks on the grill and boiled lobster. Dessert will be banana splits. And I have a guest!!! |

Our family tradition is to sit in our PJs all day long, watch football and still cook the whole feast for the four of us. No stress, no one to worry about except ourselves! It is heaven!! |

I'll certainly be in my sweats, and watching the tube all day, while I munch away, but -- and here's another nontraditional angle -- NOT watching football. Yet another reason, I won't miss going to the relatives. This household will be watching old movies. here's a topic, let's tawlk amongst ahselves: football is so gay!! the end zone, a huddle, making a pass? puleez! you "breeders" crack me up.

If football is so gay I would think you would love it "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" Wayne Gretzky |

Aah, but technically speaking, "gay" is more about the guys. Hence, my thesis |

I'm trying to figure out how a T-giving dinner has turned into a discussion on what "gay" is. Very frustrating for those of us who feel that we are more alike than different. |

Get a grip, both of you. Per usual, someone can't make an innocent comment like "I think football is pretty gay" -- an ironic observation considering society's observation that football epitomizes all that is masculine and gay men, the exact opposite -- without people (probably not gay themselves), freaking out. Duncan, you're looking at the wrong dictionary. Historically, lesbians made a big deal about calling themselves that, in order to distinguish them from "gay", which has more to do with gay men. |

I didn't notice any of the 18 people who posted about the "she-devil" wife making it about them, or getting frustrated that it would degrade male-female relationships.

Folks!! Mas extended a very kind invitation (which, if I were not up to my elbows in turkey stuffing/gravy for 30 guests I would happily accept!) If you are not responding "Bless You, I'd love to come, what can I bring?"... get off her back!! Jeeeezzzzz! |
