With your help, Hall-of-Famer Ralph Kiner can be inducted again - this time as a broadcaster.

The Ford C. Frick Award is presented annually by the Baseball Hall of Fame to recognize television and radio broadcasting excellence. For the first time, online voting will be used to nominate announcers for the 2004 ballot; three
of the ten finalists for the next Ford C. Frick Award will be selected by the fans.

Ralph Kiner had a Hall of Fame playing career with the Pirates, Indians and Cubs. He hit 369 career home runs, and won or shared the National League home run crown for seven straight seasons. A member of Major League Baseball's All
Century Team, he was also named by Ted Williams as one of the 20 greatest hitters of all time.

Ralph joined the Mets broadcast team for our inaugural game in 1962, and has broadcast every season in club history. Few announcers can claim a run of 43 consecutive seasons with the same team. Fewer still can qualify for the Hall of Fame as both a player and broadcaster. Ralph Kiner is loved and respected by baseball fans, and by his broadcasting peers.

Please cast your vote for Ralph Kiner today at the Baseball Hall of Fame web site. Fans are allowed to vote once per day, so please vote early and often.

We are honored that four other Mets broadcasters are eligible for the 2004 Ford C. Frick Award ballot. They include our Spanish Radio broadcast team of Juan Alicea and Billy Berroa, Gary Cohen of Mets radio flagship WFAN, and television
commentator Fran Healy of Fox Sports Net.
