Can anyone recommend either an acupuncturist or a holistic health clinic to treat gastro-intestinal problems.

My wife has seen several western-trained specialists who cannot pinpoint the problem, and we want to explore other options. Thanks.

I saw an acupuncturist in Summit named Dr. Zhou 908 522 1926 18 Bank St. She also has a MD from a Chinese medical school.

Dr. Zhou is a lovely, kind person who actually cares about her patients. As for me, I loved loved loved the treatment -- very warm and relaxing. Unfortunately, they didn't have any lasting effects for me, but that's my problem. I know she has helped lots ofother people. (I'm about to give up on curing my chronic pain problem, and just walk around all doped up, but that's another thread and plea for help.)

Good luck to your wife!

Sorry to hear about your chronic pain--it can be debilitating and exhausting. You might want to try Cranio-sacral therapy--I have had good success with this in alleviating chronic pain. One Cranio-sacral therapist in Maplewood is Barrie Andrews (a woman) with Pantera Massage Therapy--she can be reached at 973-271-9640. Cranio-sacral is not massage per se, but it is practiced by some massage therapists and physical therapists.

Best of luck,

Mark

Dr. Flowers 973-378-8322. He's great. He does acupuncture, herbal medicine, all of it. He has a web site. www.flowersmd.net
