Like most of us, I need to get in shape. Some of you can run, but I have learned I do not have the discipline or knees to follow thru.

Ideally, I would like to play bball at an open gym--i have tried the YMCA twice and both times there was no one there, so i dont think i will be joining. Tennis is also doable, but i am not sure where to look.

input will be greatly appreciated.

Kenney-- Which YMCA did you try? I know the one in Summit has Men's Basketball two nights a week, and it also has a lunch time Basketball pick-up game. There are always plenty of people that play.

Kenney if you dont have the knees for running how on earth do you have the knees for basketball. I have had surgery on both of mine and actually find running gently easier on them basketball.
