I assume they are obsolete and online toy catalogs are more environment-friendly...but I have such fond memories of looking through the Sears toy catalog before the holidays. Does anyone know if anyplace makes a paper catalog available for purchase? My son would love to have one for wish lists |

Lots of on-line operations have an option for you to request a paper catalog, which they'll then send you. I remember one or two that had great toys from when my kids were small, but my brain has atrophied and I can't recall the specific names. You might want to look on-line, and when you find a site with toys like you are thinking of, request a catalog to be sent to your home. If I can remember the names, I'll post them. One had lots of wooden and imagination-based toys - the other was something like "Hearth Song" and it had low-tech, fun toys.

Um, I get about 3 toy catalogs a day. And about 5 other assorted (like 2 pottery barn a week). Be happy that you haven't gotten any. Fortunately my almost 3 year old hasn't grasped the phrase "I want that" yet! |
