Is it just me, or is that the ugliest and worst re-construction of a bridge that I've ever seen? It's more like a giant speed bump than a bridge. After all the time it took to re-build it, that's what they came up with? Utterly horrifying. I can't wait to see what happens when it snows.

Jasper, it is a temporary bridge. There were construction problems that have caused the engineers to have to redesign the actual replacement bridge.

Personally, I am going to avoid the temporary bridge when it snows. :-)

Dearest Jasper,

Bobbestk, once again, is wrong. This is the permanent bridge as completed by Sbenois Bridge Building Associates in conjunction with Dr. Stefano Design Works.

I think it looks beautiful. My only regret is that we didn't go with the Goodly Doctor's idea for a fishing pier on the side with the gas station. I happen to know that there are some very hardly trout right over there and it would have been a real bonanza for the community had we taken the time to do it right.

Bobbestk, why do you make up so many things?

Dearest Sbenois,

Why did you bilk Union County by only constructing a two-lane bridge instead of the contracted four-lane bridge?

And more to the point.. WHY DIDNT YOU MAKE THE FLY-FISHING PLATFORM THAT WAS IN THE ORIGINAL DESIGN. I hereby revoke my financial support of the goodly Dr. and Sbenois Bridge Building Associates. Remit to me the balance of the gift.
sheesh

FYI: The original bridge (which was replaced at least twice before the current monstrosity) looked like this:
Pretty, Ain't It...

Why couldn't we go THIS route again? As you'll agree, it looks nice in the snow.
