I have a friend who is on chemotherapy who has not only lost her hair but her eyelashes as well. A wig takes care of the hair problem but not the eyelashes. She would like to find a place that applies indivdual false eyelashes. I told her I would ask here. She checked with Anthony Garubo, they don't do it. Does anyone know of a place that does?

Have you asked at the MAC store in Short Hills? I know that MAC make up artists will do the full strips & I am 99.94% sure that they sell the individual lash kits, so I am fairly confident that they would apply individual lashes.

Hope this helps.

Another thought would be to call Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom in Short Hills. Both have upscale cosmetics departments. Nordstom even has a private beauty suite where they could set up an appt. so your friend has privacy.

There's a national program called "Look Good, Feel Better" that's given free of charge at the area hospitals---call the oncology department at St Barnabus or Overlook. Beauticians meet with groups of women to discuss just this kind of thing, and cosmetic companies donate large quantities of top of the line products. It's really a wonderful pick-me-up for a terrible time.

I was just going to suggest a similar thing as Maaaa did. You might also try National Cancer Society, too. Some beauticians specialize in cancer issues (not just hair, but skin, etc.)

Best of luck to your friend. She's lucky to have a friend like you, especially at the holidays.
