Tom, Costco will refund your money on any product you're not happy with, for any reason. If you spent 20 bucks for razors that you're not happy with, bring them back. If you dont have the receipt, they will still take it back, most times.

Omigod. I thought maybe posting on MOL would help cure me of my Drug Fair problem. Nope. I went last night for critical girly stuff, ended up buying an amarilis (much needed, yeah right), more Christmas lights, socks (they have cheap socks!) a new doggy bed, etc. Didn't spend quite $79.99 at least. However, when I got in my car, there was a line to get out of the parking lot because there's only one exit due to that state of the art bridge there, so I sat and sat and guess what! I realized I needed fire logs, body moisturizer, toothepaste, etc., so, I parked, went back in and ended up spending $79.99 total. That place has my brain programmed! |

Another Costco story - I purchased a home theater in a box to replace the one I had. Turned out I didn't like it as much as the original. Lost the receipt, assumed that I couldn't return it. It sat in the closet for over a year. Called Costco, they said sure we'll take it back. A year later they took it back, sans receipt. I paid $400 for it but they could only refund what today's price was ($300). I was amazed they took it back and was happy to have received any money back at all. |

I am so guilty of Drug Fairitis - and everyone I know feels the exact same way. There's something about that place.... I also have Targetitis and a slight case of Costcocosia. I can't seem to get out of Target without an extra $50, nor Costco. It's those damn books at Costco - I can't seem to breeze in and out for my groceries without scanning the book pile, and they always have the next one my book club is reading, or some such. As for Target - I just love that store. Go in for diapers and come out with toys for the next four months' worth of kid birthday parties, a set of towels, you name it. |

You don't need an MBA in marketing to figure out how COSTCO lures peoople in. All the high tech toys are right where you walk in, but the five gallon jugs of Tide are in the far corner. However, how does Drug Fair do it? Heck, since they changed the direction of some of the shelves I don't think the signs are even where they should be. Yeah, I know, they have the seasonal seciton in the front, but who gets roped in on specials for holiday wrapping paper?

Oh, Bob, Bob, Bob. I am just now running out of the holiday wrapping paper supply I invested in 5 years ago. Sad? Perhaps. But, I saved 50% on the after-season sale! |

This is how Drug Fair does it: the store is so disorganized that you walk all over the place trying to find what you came in for, in the process gathering all sorts of things that you didn't really remember needing but can't pass up. Works every time. |

Just came from DRUG FAIR!!! Spent $48, went in for laundry soap and poster board. I know why I like it: reminds me of the Woolworth's in my old town. Including the customers, who are a nice mix of what look like upper middles slumming, little old ladies, working class mom's, etc. Plus, I find the staff helpful. I get tired of the Target's, but also their upscale counterparts, like fancy pants kitchen stores, etc. |

I was happy to read that my family and I have comrades in our affliction. We love Drug Fair. It's simple, the stuff they sell is useful, the prices are great, and it doesn't smell like incense, air freshener, or anything else. We also love all the other stores at the Millburn Mall. The wonderful breads, bagels and cookies that you can get from the inexplicably hostile counter people at the bakery. The fragrant lox and pickle smells and the welcoming scowl from the people who run Tabatchnick's. The fine selection of vegetables at the vegetable stand, and the huge selection at the wine store. Not to mention the near eastern restaurant in the corner, and the fine pizza place. Plus, there's a cash machine for when you run out.

Too bad they didn't build several floors of 1,2,&3-bedroom apartments directly atop the Mall. We could all move there... |

Yes, and I have a taker already! I appreciate the stories about Costco's excellent service. It's just not worth my while to make a trip to Costco for such a small purchase. But I will remember it for when I need it. Tom Reingold There is nothing
