I came home last night to find my two 10 year olds crying there eyes out, apparently there is something going on at Lincoln Center in January that is sold out. Would anyone know where I can get 3, 4, or 5 tickets to this show?? Apparently, the characters are going to be there. Thanks |

The Film Society of Lincoln Center is hosting a marathon showing of all three films: http://www.filmlinc.org/specials/lotr/lotr.htm The director, Peter Jackson, will appear to discuss the films. The films will be "introduced by cast members". I don't know if that would be an event appreciated by ten-year-olds. There is a lot of information about the movies, and other "movie marathons" with all three films, at: http://www.theonering.net/index.shtml |

Thanks Nohero I looked up the website, also called, all sold out, they told me that I should join the Lincoln Center Film Society, as it looks like all the tickets were sold to members first, and that alone sold it out. I guess this isn't the kind of event that will have scalpers outside. |

Probably not the kind of scalper you'd see outside of a hockey or basketball game! |

You could check ebay, tix won't be cheap though. Honestly it might be a bit much for a 10 year old to sit through, but you can't tell that to a 10 year old!

My nipper wanted to go, and we only got tix to the Peter Jackson thing on Sunday, but we're on an email alert list should anything else open up. I'll private line you should we get any info. (Sunday's lecture would probably be fairly dry for them, but who knows.) Sheesh, these things are pricey. The onering website is great, so keep checking for stuff. My daughter found a (free) personal appearance thing at B&N in NYC between the first 2 films and, tho Christopher Lee left early, Jackson, producer Fran Walsh, and composer Howard Short stayed and autographed for 2 hours. Really nice of them. Sigh..... |

Thanks Patty When I called, they told me that they were working on adding another night, that's all they said except that most likely members will sell that out also |
