LET YOUR MONEY SPEAK: CHOOSE BLUE NOT RED This holiday season, you can choose to buy Blue - spending your money at companies and stores that support progressive and Democratic causes -- and avoid buying from companies that feed the conservative Republican coffers. This website lists companies that are major donors to both parties: http://www.buyblue.org/bluexmas.html

This does not make a lot of sense to me. Amazon is one of the companies you would have me boycott. So, let's see, according to their PAC, they funded Zoe Lofgren, Robert Menendez, John Dingell, Ed Markey, Tom Daschle, Ron Wyden, Henry Reid, and John McCain. Sure, they also funded Brownback, Hastert, Issa, Istook and other mastadons. What do I do--boycott 61% of my purchases from Amazon but tell them to keep spending on Dingell and other libs? |

It's useful to try, as long as you realize it's not a goal you can attain entirely. All things being equal, I would like |

Great plan! We can starve out all of those struggling Midwestern and Southern families who work for those companies and rely on our purchases to feed their families. That'll make them see the light. Of course, their necks are red but their collars are blue, so... |

Pretty much everything's made in China, so we have to buy red. |

If Dave is right, shopping locally will mean a long trip to Shanghai. |
