It's been suggested that yoga might do me world of good but I've never done yoga before.

I live quite close to the "Bodies in Motion" studio on Valley @ Jefferson although I've never gone in there.

Can anyone suggest a yoga studio or class for a 50 y/o heavy-ish, somewhat athletic beginner? I do work out at the gym on the elliptical machine 5 days a week but the yoga may help me beyond that.

Any suggestions -OR- feedback on Bodies in Motion would be appreciated. THANKS.

Try Vicki Fredricks. She teaches in Maplewood and can be reached at tovicki@comcast.net. I think she teaches at the tennis club. My wife takes her class every week and swears by it.

Good Luck.

I second the vote for Vicki Fredricks. She is phenomenal!!! I've taken both the 'regular' and Relaxation classes, and I swear by them. You won't be disappointed.

Well, I'm a beginner. Has anyone done a beginners' class with her?

Someone recommended Debbie Kurilla @ BODY OF LIGHT at Sharma Holistic Center (Milburn Avenue and Ridgewood Rd.). Has anyone experience there or with her?

THANKS.
